Nancy was born on stage. She started dance, theatre, and voice at the age of 3 and never looked back, despite her parents’ best efforts at getting her in to sports.

Begley studied at Perry-Mansfield conservatory under the instruction of Mary Elizabeth Poore for voice, Cynthia DuFault for musical theatre, modern, and tap dance, Nina Hogue for ballet and pointe, and Walter White for modern and Fosse jazz dance styles. She received her BFA in both Music Performance and Musical Theatre from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, studying under Dr. MeeAe Nam for opera and classical performance and Traci Kern for belt, pop, and musical theatre. Her continuing education is through the Denver Center for the Performing Arts with specialties in Meisner, Shakespeare, Commedia, and Speaking Voice.

Nancy’s voice has been heard across the globe, performing in London, Oxford, Edinburgh, Marrakech, Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, El Escorial, Vancouver, New York City, Philadelphia, and beyond…with many destinations still on the to-do list! Nancy maintains her non-union, professional status in Colorado and is eligible for AEA.

Nancy specializes in commanding, sexy, savvy, devious, witty, maternal, and strong leading ladies in both comedic and dramatic work. Her vocal range spans the gamut, singing anything from sultry alto to lyric soprano, and her natural dance and movement ability give her an elegant poise and grace on stage. Her resume is indicative of her range and versatility, and she is regularly seen in theatrical productions and cabaret engagements across Colorado. Nancy is also a Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award winner and is the recipient of the Best Supporting Actress in a Musical Marlowe Award for her role as Beatrice Stockwell/Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone.

In 2021, Begley founded Veritas Productions, an events and performing arts production company, dedicated to equitable, accessible, and inclusive theatrical productions, philanthropy through her Theatre Arts Community Enrichment project, and pulling back the curtain in front of the casting table, shining a light for performers through the audition, production, and performance process.

Nancy resides in Parker, Colorado with her husband Noah and four dogs. When not on stage, she can be seen traveling the world, rescuing and fostering dogs, hiking the beautiful Colorado Rockies, training at the gym, sipping wine in Anderson Valley, CA, or teaching adult, beginner dance!
